"Math is Cool" to the tune of "London Bridge"
Mr. Larrabee's class--Longfellow Elementary  Listen mp3

Math is fun and math is cool
You learn it in school
It's a useful tool
As long as you stick to the rules
Math will help you

Geometry is angles and lines
It defines
Shapes you find
3D and 2D all the time
Geometry will help you

"Art" to the tune of Rudolph
Mrs. Green's class - Longfellow Elementary
Listen mp3

When I do art I feel creative
I grab some paper and some paint
What would Leonardo do?
He would paint something great
I sprinkle some imagination
Plastic, glitter, clay, and glue
I fill the paper up with colors
It gives me something great to do

"Math FeverListen mp3
Mrs. Green's class - Longfellow Elementary

Addition, subtraction,
Multiplication and division
Everywhere I go in this world
I have a math vision

Chorus:
Math is my thing
I have math fever 2x

I can't help counting the rocks on the ground
And all the trees growing
Books are prisms and
Balls are spheres
And I count all the fireflies glowing

Chorus

Pizza pies starts off as a circle
It is gooey and cheesy
I cut it into triangles and squares
If I eat to much I get queasy

Chrous

"Pond Song" to the tune of "Rockaby Baby"
Mr. Decamilla's class--Longfellow Elementary
Listen.mp3

The pond at the school is murky and green
Little tiny beetles are crawling unseen
Cattails are swaying in the cool breeze
Green frogs are hopping while eating some bees

The pond is alive with sounds of all sorts
Flapping and singing and flying of course
It smells like pine and feels gooey and cold
The trees at the pond are extremely old

The pond is so beautiful for you and me
There are lots of colors for you to see
The gooey water splashing around

"Island Moose"  Listen.mp3
Mr. Larrabee's class--Longfellow Elementary

I'm a moose stuck on an island
In the Androscoggin River
Munching leafy lunch
And singing this to you.
I was floating down the river
And I slid down the dam
Stranded on an island
Now I'm stuck here
Not knowing what to do

Chorus:
Water goes down
Crashing and splashing all around
People are watching me
So I'm hiding behind a tree
Woah oh

My folks told me
That when they were young
This river was polluted
It was dirty as a dump
Over time the rivers got much cleaner
The factories became leaner
And I'm glad---
They cleaned up their gunk

Chorus

"Food Drive Song"  Listen.mp3
Mr. Decamilla's class--Longfellow Elementary

Longfellow School reaching out to the community
Delivering food, a giving opportunity
We want to give some attention
To Midcoast Hunger Prevention
We want to relieve the tension
And all the apprehension
Of people who are hungry

We are caring, and sharing
And giving and living
Respectful and peaceful
And helpful and thankful

Do de do do do do do do do 3x
Thank you

"She'll be Coming Round the Sun" to the tune of "She'll be Coming Round the Mountain"
Ms. Sypniewski's class--Jordan Acres School

She'll be coming round the sun when she comes
It's a burning star and it's our only one
It's big and bright and yellow
Like a bowl of lemon jello
She'll be coming round the sun when she comes

She'll be riding on a spaceship when she comes
If she landed on Venus she'd be bummed
She'd get rained on by the acid
She never would have lasted
She'll be riding on a spaceship when she comes

"Everybody Likes Snowballs" to the tune of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame"
Ms. Cameron's class--Coffin Elementary
Listen.mp3

Everybody likes snowballs
You can use 'em for fights
Snow can look like puffy cloud
It's on your driveway until it gets plowed
Snow feels sticky and cozy
It's like a white wonderland
But if it stays cold and snowy
I'll never get tanned

"Winter Creatures" to the tune of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star"
Ms. Valella's class--Coffin Elementary

Grow thick fur or they migrate

While snow is falling everywhere
Some store food and eat a lot
Nice warm boroughs keep them hot

"Snow Day"
Ms. Sypniewski's class--Jordan Acres School
Listen.mp3

Lu lu lu lu 4x
A snowy day is a fluffy blanket
A snowy day is a big, white cloud
So kneel down and grab some snow
Pack it together and give it a throw

Snowmen, tubing, building forts,
Snowball fights, and skiing
Fluffy, soft, sticky, smooth
Wet, white, and freezing

No two snowflakes are the same
Just like all of the people who came
Lu lu lu lu (fade)

"Spaceship Earth" to the tune of "Yankee Doodle" Ms. Lapoint's class--Coffin Elementary
Listen.mp3

Planet Earth's a big, blue ball
With emerald dots upon it
A ship with lots of creatures
And it's speed is supersonic
We will try to care for it
Like we care for others
It's the only one we've got
We love it like our mothers

"Take Me Out to the State of Maine"
to the tune of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame"
Ms. Anderson's class--Jordan Acres Elementary
Listen.mp3

Take me out to the state of Maine
To the mountains or beach
Buy me some lobster down at the shack

We could go hunting for moose or deer
Or fishing for haddock or trout
Lots of rivers and lakes
And pine trees all about

"The Food Web"
Ms. Erb's class--Jordan Acres Elementary
First version.mp3    Second version.mp3

Sun is shining bright and yellow
Way up high in the sky
Shines on the water down below
When the tide is high

Seaweed waving slippery and green
Stuck to a rock in the ocean
Sucks up the light through the water so clean
The food web is in motion

Chorus: The food web, the food web
It's connected to you and to me
The food web, the food web
From the sun, the land and sea

Tiny smelt darting by
Stops for a little munch
Doesn't see the slippery mackerel behind him
Sneaking up for lunch

Fishing hook comes shooting by
And mackerel ends up on a line
The fisherman swims near a shark on the sly
The shark eats him up and he tastes fine

"Constellations" to the tune of "Yankee Doodle"
Ms. Wilson's class--Jordan Acres Elementary
Listen.mp3

Constellations are a group
Of stars in outer space
They're good for navigation
And they each have their own place
Draco is a dragon
Who guards the apples golden
Hercules defeated him
In the days of olden

Scorpius the scorpion
Hunted for Orion
Pegasus is a flying horse
And Leo is a lion
Ursa Major is a bear
And Pisces are two fishes
When they come out at night
Everybody wishes

E.A.R.T.H--Earth

"Seasons Rap"
Ms. Valella's class--Coffin Elementary
Listen.mp3

There are four seasons don't you know
And this is the order that they go
Winter is cold and dark
Snow is falling in the park
We build snowmen. The bears in the den
Waiting for the warmth to come again
Spring is rainy and warm
Don't get caught out in the storm
Kites are flying here and there
Wind is blowing everywhere
Summer is hot and sunny
Ice cream sitting in my tummy
Fall is wonderful and very colorful
Sitting in the leaves is very comfortable

"The Sun we Love"
Ms. Lapoint's class--Coffin Elementary
Listen.mp3

The sun is bright like a light bulb
It's hotter than a baked potato
It would melt your spaceship
And it's light makes the plants grow
It's like an island in the ocean
With all the planets going round it
Last night we thought we lost it
But when we woke we were happy we found it.

"I Am an Asteroid"
Ms. Anderson's class--Jordan Acres Elementary

He's a bully out in space
Try to get away from him
I don't want to see his face

Chorus
I am an asteroid

"Take Me to Your Leader"
Ms. Wilson's class--Jordan Acres Elementary
Listen.mp3

Flying in a saucer through outer space
Dodging the planets in an alien race
We rocket past Pluto and we pick up the pace
We zoom by Neptune and we see it's blue face

Chorus: Take me to your leader or I'll tickle your feet

We stop for a milkshake in the milky way
On Jupiter's red spot we tan all day
We jump on a comet for a wild ride
We fly into a worm hole but we're still alive

Chorus
